Julie Bishop might have made a name for herself as one of Australia’s most iconic politicians, but these days, the former Foreign Minister is commanding our attention for an entirely different reason.

And yep, it’s all to do with her ridiculously good fashion sense.

This week, Julie has been particularly busy attending various red carpet events in Sydney, which is why we were thrilled to witness what we can only describe as a fashion spectacle – and we’re taking notes from the 63-year-old immediately.

On Wednesday, the Aussie icon attended a red carpeted opening of the refurbished Louis Vuitton store on Sydney’s George Street.

Proving age is nothing but a number, Bishop rocked a mini-dress like no other.

The silver design, which featured pockets (drool!) and a shimmery tweed fabric looked absolutely stunning on the former politician.

Wearing a pair of strappy black heels, Julie officially stole the show on the red carpet – and her rather dashing partner David Panton looked pretty smitten himself.

Less than 24 hours later, Julie got glammed up once again, attending the GQ Men of the Year Awards in Sydney.

This time, the former foreign minister wore a beautiful ankle-length gown, which featured beautiful floral detailing and a sheer top.

The stunning 63-year-old wore her iconic chop swept back, showing off some glitzy drop diamond earrings.

All in all, she officially knocked this look out of the park.

Julie’s dazzling appearances come after her comments about foreign interference made headlines this week.

The well-informed former politician weighed in on the prospect of foreign interference posing an existential threat to Australia.

She insisted that there needed to be stricter measures to ensure the country’s safety from foreign interference – such as a screening process.

“I always found it extraordinary that I as foreign minister had no need for a security clearance, but my staff had to go through the most rigorous security clearances to ensure that I had top level [clearance],” she said, according to The Age.

“But no politician is ever subjected to that.”

Earlier this month, Julie gave us some more insight into her post-politics life, revealing exactly how it felt to leave it all behind.

Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, she responded with a simple answer upon being asked if she missed politics: “Do I look like it?”

Going by these recent red carpet pictures of the stunning politician, we can certainly see the evidence!
