Over the weekend, fans were thrilled to learn that Brooklyn Beckham, son to the iconic British duo David and Victoria Beckham, is now engaged to his partner Nicola Peltz.
The 21-year-old made the announcement known via an Instagram post that naturally went viral immediately, and thrice over as it was re-shared by both of his proud (and very famous) parents.
Of course, when it comes to engagements there’s a rather important element to the whole thing that we scramble to know about, no matter who the loved-up recipients are.
Oh yes, you can bet we were rushing to find out exactly what kind of sparkler the 21-year-old picked out for his to-be wife.
Brooklyn’s announcement came with a sweet pic of the pair standing in a bright green field – with Nicola wearing a beautiful buttercup-yellow dress and Brooklyn in a suave blue suit.
“Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes xx I am the luckiest man in the world. I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day ❤️ I love you baby xx,” Brooklyn wrote in the caption.
Nicola reflected the sentiment in the comments section, telling Brooklyn: “I’m so lucky to call you mine”

According to Mail Online, the ring is thought to be 4.5-5 carats, and worth upwards of a cool AUD $215,000.
Yep, we’d be guarding that little gem as though our lives depended on it.

On inspection, the diamond pillow-shaped ring is nothing short of breathtaking – and at $200,000-plus, we’re not surprised.
“Beauty and precision are hallmarks of the emerald cut engagement ring. The cut’s long lines give the stone its elegant and sophisticated look,” an expert, Shannon Delany-Ron told Mail Online.
“This timeless style is a favourite among celebrities. Jennifer Lopez, Amal Clooney and Jennifer Lawrence all wear emerald cut engagement rings.”
As for details on their upcoming nuptials, it’s understood the pair will be sparing no expense as the two affluent lovebirds seal the deal.
Nicole’s father, Nelson Peltz is known to be a billionaire, while Brooklyn’s parents weren’t called ‘Money Bags’ back in their hey-day for nothing.

Speaking to The Sun, a source revealed that the family were completely “delighted” for the couple.
“Brooklyn has always looked up to his parents and grandparents, who have been married for a combined 70 years, and that’s what he wants,” they explained.
“David and Victoria are thrilled. They feel he has finally met a girl who is not after him for fame or money. In fact, her family wealth dwarfs the Beckhams,” the source added.
