Blake Lively, 27, and hubby Ryan Reynolds, 38, are officially a family of three, as they welcome their first child into the world, Page Six exclusively reveals.
It has been reported that they baby arrived prematurely in late December, near the couple’s home in Bedford, NY, with both mum and bub said to be healthy and well.
Now for the big questions – Gender? Name? Neither have been announced, but circulating rumours are suggesting ‘Violet’ – just like Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s eldest daughter.
The moniker buzz has been sparked from a single tweet from a woman who claims she works at the Westchester Hospital, where assumingly, Blake gave birth.
The tweet read: “Congrats @blakelively #blakelively glad to have you and baby girl violet in our care”.
The comment was soon deleted, and nothing has yet been confirmed by the pair.
What we do know however, is this is going to be one cute kid.
The Gossip Girl star announced her pregnancy in October via her website, Preserve, which also revealed and image of her and her perfect little baby bump. The couple have been together since 2011, and tied the knot in a secret ceremony in 2012.
Fiercely private, yes – but one thing the couple have been very vocal about from the get go is their desire to have children.
“It’s something that I’ve always wanted ever since I was a little girl … I knew I wanted to have a lot of kids because I had come from a big family so it was always important to me. So it’s just the excitement of that finally being here,” she told Us Weekly.
Proud father Reynolds shares the same joy towards becoming a parent. “I’m just excited about having a buddy,” he told People magazine. “For a lot of new dads, you tend to dwell on the mistakes you don’t want to make. I’m at that stage still where I’m focused primarily on being open and understanding and leaving a lot of room for error.”
