Married At First Sight brides at war! Martha says there was a divide between the women

Forget the weddings – the real drama lies with the brides!

Following last week’s bachelorette party, Martha says it didn’t take long before battle lines were drawn among the female participants.

“There was a divide, which was sad,” Martha, 30, reveals to TV WEEK. “It wasn’t to do with age – it was an issue between the older and younger girls.

“I guess we have different views on the way we live our lives and what we find funny. I don’t take myself too seriously, and neither do Jessika and Ines, so I gelled with them better.”

On the subject of Ines, the brunette left viewers gobsmacked last week when she declared she’d like to lock Melissa in a cupboard – and could “totally” understand why Elizabeth was single.

But Elizabeth says Ines was the “black sheep” of the group from the start and that she felt sorry for her.

“She doesn’t say much to people’s faces,” the outspoken blonde declares. “I’m all for women and encouraging other women.”

However, Martha disagrees with her MAFS co-star.

“Ines isn’t two-faced,” she argues. “She won’t say things behind your back. She’s unapologetic and will say the stuff out loud that you’d say to your girlfriends when nobody’s listening. I was obsessed with Ines from the minute she walked in.”

As for Martha’s opinion of Elizabeth, she hints at there being more fireworks to come.

“I was her biggest fan at first, but then saw a side to her I didn’t like,” she explains. “We’re all there for the same reason – not to play games and be spiteful.”

One bride who tried to steer clear of the drama was business manager Jules, who has been smitten with husband Cam from the start.

“I got on really well with Jules, but she was over it [the drama],” Martha says. “She was too busy focusing on her relationship to be involved.”

Perhaps the other girls could take a leaf out of Jules’ book…
