For 16 years, Mike and Laura Bergeron have been dressing up in crazy outfits in hilarious poses for their annual Christmas cards.

And since welcoming their children, the cards have only become better.

Taking a page out of the Kardashian’s book, the process has become so important to the family that they now aim to get it done every year before Thanksgiving.

“Otherwise, it is very stressful trying to bring it all together,” Mike explained.

“We have a list of ideas that we add to throughout the year and we usually choose which one we want to do around October.”

The story behind 2018’s Christmas card

This year, the family have pulled out the big guns and gone with a pageant-themed card, which they have titled The West Texans.

Their two adorable daughters are kitted out in the full beauty queen frou frou, complete with puffy dresses, cowgirl hats and boots.

While Mike and Laura hover awkwardly in the back, rocking his and her denim ensembles.

“We thought we would try to capitalise on the girls’ cuteness this year and leave most of the ‘awkwardness’ to the adults,” Mike explained of this year’s vision.

Behold, this year’s card in all its glory!

2017’s card also has a hilarious story connected with it.

“We went in a slightly different direction,” John explained last year of their Gingers in Paradise theme.

“Which required stepping out of the JCP Portrait Studio and using a photographer (big thanks to Marco Montenegro) at the local beach.”

“This our nod to the ever-so-popular holiday card theme that says ‘Look at us soaking up the sun’s rays in a beautiful tropical paradise while you’re freezing your nuts off…don’t you wish you were us?'”
