It’s a Christmas miracle! Kylie Minogue joins forces with James Corden for a festive season single

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and we are spinning around for Kylie Minogue’s latest festive jingle.

Our Australian sweetheart has joined forces with British funnyman and host of The Late Late Show, James Corden.

The pair have teamed up to record a cover of the ’80s Yazoo classic, Only You and it will put even the most cynical of grinches in the mood for the holidays.

This is the second time Only You has been covered, the first was a Christmas number one for a cappella group The Flying Pickets in 1983. Yazoo’s Alison Moyet reacted to the news with a cheeky tweet.

“It’s all very nice, Ms Minogue & Mr Corden recording ‘Only You’, but now pop kids will say I’m covering Kylie as well as The Flying Pickets,” she quipped to her followers.

Kylie and James have been fab friends ever since they met in 2009, when they co-hosted the Brit Awards.

Apparently, the single was just meant to be a fun addition to her album but after her record company heard the song, they pushed it for a single release.

In fact, the pulled-back rendition is so good, it might encourage you to get the mistletoe out and re-enact a Love Actually moment with a special someone!

The pop princess will be releasing her Christmas album, Kylie Christmas, later this week and it will feature some big name collaborations with stars like Iggy Pop and Frank Sinatra (the power of technology!)
