Aside from delicious food, presents and spending time with family, one of the most joyful (and underrated) parts of the holiday season is taking five to watch a good old fashioned Christmas movie.

With quite literally thousands to choose from, it can be hard to narrow down which classic or recent release to watch to get into the holiday spirit.

Home Alone

If any kids’ movie has stood the test of time, it’s Home Alone. Since its 1990 release, the comedy starring Joe Pesci and Macaulay Culkin has gone on to become synonymous with Christmas and has grown a cult following.

The Family Stone

There’s nothing better than a star-studded ensemble cast, especially when it comes to a wholesome Christmas flick.
