Maria DiGeronimo has come under fire due to her controversial antics on the reality series Yummy Mummies.

Earlier this season, the 34-year-old reality star had a meltdown when baby Valentina had an accident on a Versace blanket – which she refused to wash and chose to throw away instead.

In last night’s episode, the first-time mother decided to get her daughter’s ears pierced.

Many viewers took to social media to express their concern over whether, at just three-months-old, Valentina was too young to have her ears pierced.

Despite being warned that her child may be at risk of an infection, Maria decided to get Valentina’s ears pierced anyway, declaring: “That little girl of mine is going to sparkle and shine” and that she ‘won’t remember the pain anyway’.

“I’m sorry, but piercing your baby’s ears at 3 months old is just cruel,” one viewer wrote on social media.

“The earrings are bigger than the baby,” another fan wrote on Twitter.

Maria’s mother Margherita also shared some controversial thoughts on fellow Yummy Mummies star Lorinska.

Lorinska breastfed for the first time in public on the show last night. She had never done so before and was nervous about the experience as she was in a crowded shopping centre.

Margherita was unimpressed when Lorinska retold the story over lunch.

“I can’t believe Lorinska’s been breastfeeding in public. I really thought Lorinska had more class,” she said.

While there were plenty of tense moments between Maria and Lorinska, Rachel and Jane – the Melbourne ladies are closer than ever.

“How amazing are these girls, I flippin love you from the tips of my toes to the top of my hair follicles!” Lorinska wrote on Instagram with a snap of the trio.
