For five seasons, fans have been caught up in the love triangle that is Liza, Josh and Charles. But as Younger resumes, the trio is now a duo with Liza and Charles finally together.

In the series return, Charles (Peter Hermann) has stepped down as the face of Empirical Press, handing the reins to Kelsey (Hilary Duff), so he and Liza (Sutton Foster) can give their new relationship a real shot. But it’s not quite happily ever after.

“There’s a lot of drama this season, probably more than any other season,” creator Darren Star reveals.

Here, we answer your most burning questions ahead of season six, which premieres June 12 on Stan.

Will Charles and Liza stay together?

“Charles and Liza’s relationship gets a lot more real,” Darren says. “There’s no such thing as a perfect relationship, so it’s sort of like this relationship has a new set of issues as it grows.”

And the fairytale may never evolve, as Sutton hints towards turmoil.

“So many of our characters have got exactly what they wished for, but is it exactly what they wanted,” she asks.

Is Josh having a baby?

Season five finished with Josh’s ex-wife Clare (Phoebe Dynevor) coming back – cradling a baby bump! As the series focuses on whether or not Josh (Nico Tortorella) is the father, one thing is for certain: baby or not, he’s still not given up on Liza.

“I think that Josh has been thinking about [becoming a father] from the moment Liza had a pregnancy scare,” explains Darren. “Josh continues to mature and their perceived age difference becomes less important as time goes on.”

How will Kelsey cope as the boss?

As Kelsey takes charge of the company, the office descends into chaos.

“I think this season goes deeper into some of the workplace drama and certainly how it affects everyone’s relationship with each other,” Darren hints.

Get ready for a big meltdown by marketing manager Diana Trout. (Miriam Shor).
