The glitz and glamour of the TV WEEK Logie Awards returns to The Star Gold Coast this year, with no shortage of local and international stars set to walk the red carpet at the event in Queensland on Sunday, June 30.
Earlier today it was revealed that the cast of the US comedy series Young Sheldon, the spin-off prequel to The Big Bang Theory, will be making the trip down under to attend as special guests at this year's Logies.
For the very first time, 10-year-old Iain Armitage, who plays comical child prodigy Sheldon Cooper, will be joined by Zoe Perry (his patient on-screen mum, Mary Cooper), Lance Barber (his loveable dad George Cooper Sr.) and mischievous siblings 16-year-old Montana Jordan (George Cooper Jnr.) and 11-year-old Raegan Revord (Missy Cooper) at the most prestigious night on the Australian entertainment calendar.
"This is such wonderful news for this year's TV WEEK Logie Awards," says TV WEEK Editor Thomas Woodgate.
"I'm so excited to welcome the cast of Young Sheldon to TV's night of nights at The Star Gold Coast in Queensland's gorgeous Gold Coast. I know that they will all bring a lot of star power to TV's biggest and best awards show and I can't wait to see them all strutting the red carpet on June 30."
Iain, Zoe and the rest of the Young Sheldon cast will be seen on the Red Carpet Arrivals show on the Nine Network, which is set to be hosted by David Campbell, Sylvia Jeffreys and Leila McKinnon.
"I'm looking forward to my first time ever hosting the glitz and glamour of the TV WEEK Logies Red Carpet!" David says. "Am hoping for some great interviews and that I don't get carpet burned!"
The 61st TV WEEK Logie Awards will take place on Sunday, June 30, at The Star Gold Coast in Queensland. All the action from the red-carpet arrivals and awards-show celebrations will be telecast on the Nine Network and 9Now.
