This week on TV condensed into a 60-second read, you’re welcome

It's been yet another a massive week in TV land, so you’re forgiven if you didn’t manage to catch everything that went down on the small screen. So here's a quick-fire rundown...

The TV Week Logie Awards are moving to Queensland

Previous Gold Logie winner Waleed Aly will be signing autographs on the Gold Coast next year.

In the biggest news of the week, it was TV Week announced today that television’s night of nights will be relocating to a new (warmer!) home.

After 30 glorious years in Melbourne, the 2018 TV WEEK Logie Awards will be held at The Star on the sunny Gold Coast.

There’s no doubt that they’ll be bigger and better than ever, and we seriously can’t contain our excitement!

Bring. It. On.

Does Karl Stefanovic have a brand new gig?

We knew it! Karl does loves the TV WEEK Logies!

Today host Karl Stefanovic may have initially been unimpressed when rumours about a move to the Gold Coast surfaced earlier this week.

But the beloved personality has quickly changed his tune.

The 43-year-old has even put his hand up to HOST the 2018 TV WEEK Logie Awards!

OK, Karl, all we need now is a killer audition video, please and thank you.

Why you need to watch Utopia

Kitty Flanagan’s comedy is slaying it quietly in the ratings!

It’s the dark horse comedy that Australia just can’t get enough of!

The hilarious office antics enacted by comedians Rob Stitch, Celia Pacquola, Anthony Lehmann, Dave Lawson and Kitty Flanagan have been hitting the spot week after week, with 739,000 viewers tuning in on Wednesday.

Plus, once you count everyone catching up on ABC’s iView, the ratings hit close to the million mark. IMPRESSIVE.

The Block bombshell that will rumble you to your core

Which team has host Scott Cam had enough of on The Block?

Ads for The Block this week have shown a VERY angry Scott Cam.

It looks like one team might end up KICKED OFF THE SHOW very soon! So what did they do to ruffle so many feathers?

We can’t wait to find out!

Matty J is left with three ladies on The Bachelor Australia 2017

One of these three stunners will win Matty J’s heart, but who?

And then there were three…

This week, half the remaining contestants on The Bachelor Australia were sent packing. Matty bid farewell to Florence, Cobie AND Elora (ouch!) after some solo and group dates with the unlucky girls.

So, with only Tara, Laura and Elise now left, which beauty will get the last rose and win Matty’s heart forever?

Sophie Monk introduces four boys from The Bachelorette Australia 2017

We don’t have long to wait for Sophie Monk’s search for love to begin.

This week we got our first taste of The Bachelorette Australia.

And it was delicious.

Four of the 18 handsome chaps were revealed, and we already think Sophie will have her work cut out for her choosing which one to settle down with.

So far, we know there’s a magician, a lovely vineyard manager, a suave polo player and a hunky investor. Will one of these boys win her heart?

Only time will tell…

No one had the time of their life watching the Dirty Dancing remake

Some things are best left untouched and not remade, RIGHT?

A Dirty Dancing remake?

Um, yes please!

We were pretty psyched to watch Baby and Johnny dance up a storm, but unfortunately, the remake – starring Abigail Breslin, Colt Prattes, Debra Messing and Sarah Hyland – didn’t quite live up to our expectations.

Twitter commentary went to town on the movie and it was BRUTAL. The moral of the story? If it ain’t broke, don’t try and fix it.

Debra Lawrence takes out Hell’s Kitchen Australia

All hail, the Queen of Hell’s Kitchen Australia.

Aussie actress Debra Lawrence was crowned the winner of Hell’s Kitchen Australia on Tuesday night.

Going up against Geordie Shore’s Gary ‘Gaz’ Beadle, she won $50,000 to go straight to Ovarian Cancer Australia.

However, in true Deb style, she generously announced that she wanted her prize money to be split, so that half could go to Gaz’s charity.

Please bow down to the ever-kind and gracious Queen Deb.

Doctor, we’ve got no Pulse

Is Pulse flatlining after one season?

While it’s yet to be confirmed, unfortunately it doesn’t look like there’ll be a second season of medical drama Pulse.

With consistently low ratings, it seems as though Australia is done (at least for now) with hospital heroes.

However, we’d never say no to a reboot of Grey’s Anatomy

We’ve been “Lynched” thanks to that Twin Peaks finale

Pass us the cherry pie and coffee, we might just rewatch Twin Peaks again!

After a long 25 years, David Lynch’s cult classic returned to much fanfare and after 18 episodes, did the strangely odd world of Twin Peaks get answers and/or a resolution?

Yes. Well, yes and no.

As is customary with David, he left many answers and musings in his wake. Was that Laura Palmer screaming in the final episode’s final moments?

You tell us.

One thing we can agree on is that Twin Peaks: The Return was utterly groundbreaking television.

AFL kicks new goals

It wasn’t pretty viewing for GWS fans, but this week’s finals match-up was a ratings smash!

Proving once again that we Aussies adore our sport, the AFL Finals game between the Adelaide Crows and the Greater Western Sydney Giants drew epic TV audiences on Thursday night – 909,000 viewers watched the Crows’ defeat the Giants in a heart-pumping spectacle.
