"The Logies have enjoyed considerable support over the many years they have been held in Melbourne, but it's the right time, as we celebrate our 60th year, for us to share that excitement with another great Australian city and we look forward to the Gold Coast hosting television's night of nights in 2018 and beyond."

As an established destination for television and film production, which attracts numerous quality local and international productions, Queensland is the perfect location to host the TV WEEK Logie Awards, the first time they have been held in the Sunshine State.

This year's Nine Network broadcast easily dominated its broadcast across all key demographics and pulled in an average national audience of 1.276 million viewers, peaking at 1.797 million viewers. The awards also saw record numbers across the brand's digital platforms, with more than 1.1 million page views on the official TV WEEK Logies website and a Facebook reach of more than four million people.
