It’s his first-ever acting gig, but Tim Robards has wasted no time impressing the team on Neighbours with his new on-screen skills.

Playing the role of high- powered investor Pierce Greyson, Tim, 36, signed up to the show only for a short contract, but is already considering extending his stay.

“I’d love to go back down [to Melbourne] if they had another storyline for Pierce,” the former Bachelor tells TV WEEK. “That’d be great.”

Tim loved his role on Neighbours.

Tim also admits he’d be open to joining the show full time, even if it meant relocating from Sydney with his new wife, Anna Heinrich.

“It’d be a big thing if it was a permanent move to Melbourne,” he concedes.

“Anna would have to come too, but it’d be great to have a gig there. I guess we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.”

Anna, 31, recently joined shock jock Kyle Sandilands in the Network Ten Judge Judy-style pilot Trial By Kyle, so perhaps a move to Melbourne could further both their TV careers.

“She’s been working on her presenting skills and doing some acting as well, so we’ve really been helping each other a lot,” Tim says.

“We’ve also been able to run lines with one another, so we’re kind of going through it together.”

Tim reveals his guest role was ultra-special, as he grew up watching the soap.

“I watched Neighbours as a kid so to be on the set with such iconic characters like Paul Robinson, Toadie and Susan is an amazing experience – the entire cast and crew have been so welcoming,” he reveals.

“At the start of this year I made the decision to make acting the top of my priority list and I’ve been putting in the work behind closed doors with different coaches – pushing myself out my comfort zone and then this role came up so I’m super excited.”

With a love for his new turn on TV, we may be seeing more of Tim on our screens in the years to come!
