Unless you’ve been living under a rock, and let’s face it, isolation essentially feels that way right now, you’ve probably heard about the hit Netflix documentary, Tiger King.

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness truly does deliver on those three M’s.

It’s near impossible to explain the plotline of this twisted tale, but this doco essentially explores the bizarre underworld of big cat breeding in America, and the consequential rivalry between two eccentric characters: Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin.

Seriously, this show is the perfect social-distancing distraction.

Even Hollywood’s biggest stars are obsessed with the series, with some actors already arguing over which roles they would like to snap up in a potential future adaption on the big screen.

This has us asking the question, who would make up the perfect celebrity cast for a Tiger King film or series?

Joe Exotic

One of the most colourful and unusual characters we’ve seen, it would take a truly special someone to play Joe.

A valid point is made by one fan, “there is no living actor who could capture such a level of cooked.”

Actor Dax Shepard, however, believes he’s made for the part. The star and husband of Kristen Bell tweeted: “If I don’t get cast as Joe Exotic in the eventual biopic, Hollywood is broken.”

We’d also love to see David Spade take on the wild character. The uncanny resemblance certainly isn’t lost on the star, who also recently posted about the show and his look-a-like on Instagram.

Carole Baskin

This one may already be a done deal. According to Deadline, SNL and comedic actress Kate McKinnon could be our next Carole, with the actress already working on a mini series about Joe Exotic. The show has reportedly been in the works for four and a half months, well before Tiger King took over our lives.

While we think Kate would be perfect, we’d also love to see Busy Phillipps play Carole.

Doc Antle

Zoolander‘s Mugatu (played by Will Ferrell) and “Doc” Antle are pretty much the same person, and we won’t be convinced otherwise.

John Finlay

We think Pete Davidson’s chaotic energy is a perfect match for Joe’s first husband, John.

Travis Moldonado

As for his second husband, Travis, who was just 19 years old when he married Joe, we can see American Horror Story star Evan Peters as a good fit.

Erik Cowie

Fans on Twitter want Bill Hader to take on the role of Erik Cowie – and we have to say, this one is a slam dunk!

Rick Kirkham

Slap a cowboy hat on Better Call Saul’s Bob Odenkirk, and we think we’ve found the perfect Rick Kirkham, the TV producer behind the Joe Exotic doco.
