Everybody is talking about the thrilling new series The Handmaid’s Tale based on the novel by Margaret Atwood.
The all-star cast includes Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men, Top Of The Lake), Samira Wiley (Orange Is The New Black) and Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls), just to name a few.

Elisabeth Moss: American actress Elisabeth plays the main character Offred in The Handmaid’s Tale. Before she was forced to become a handmaid, Offred lived a happy life as June.
Elisabeth starred as the switched-on secretary turned advertising executive Peggy Olson in the acclaimed series Mad Men. The series, which ran from 2007-2015, cemented Elisabeth’s status as a leading lady of the small screen.
In 2013, Elisabeth starred in the role of Robin in drama Top Of The Lake. The actress won the Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress In A Mini-series or Motion Picture Made for Television in 2014 for this series.
Alexis Bledel: The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants actress plays handmaid Ofglen, who’s real name is Emily. Ofglen befriends Offred (Elisabeth Moss) and encourages her to join the resistance movement.
Alexis first came to prominence in her role of Rory Gilmore in Gilmore Girls. The actress reprised this role last year in the Netflix mini-series Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life.
Madeline Brewer: Madeline stars as handmaid Janine in The Handmaid’s Tale. At the beginning of the series Janine’s eye is removed due to her bad behaviour.
In 2013, Madeline starred as inmate Tricia Miller in Orange Is The New Black. Tricia was a drug addict and died of an overdose in the first season.
Samira Wiley: Samira plays Moira, June’s best friend before the war, and now her fellow handmaid.
Samira is well-known for her role in prison drama Orange Is The New Black where she played Poussey Washington. Poussey was sadly killed at the end of season six of OITNB.
Joseph Fiennes: Joseph plays The Commander Fred Waterford in The Handmaid’s Tale.
In 2011, Joseph starred in the English series Merlin. He is also well-known for his role in the 1998 film Shakespeare In Love opposite Gwyneth Paltrow.
Max Minghella: English actor Max stars as driver Nick Blaine. Nick is a man of mystery for much of his time in The Handmaid’s Tale.
Max has starred in a variety of film roles including a part in the 2011 film The Ides Of March alongside Ryan Gosling and George Clooney.
Yvonne Strahovski: Yvonne stars as The Commander’s wife, Serena Joy.
Aussie actress Yvonne had a lead role in the American spy series Chuck, which ran from 2007-2012. She also appeared in Dexter between 2012-2013.
O-T Fagbenle: English actor O-T plays June’s husband Luke, who loses touch with his wife in the first episode.
English actor O-T has starred in a variety of English TV series, including a two-episode role in Doctor Who and a starring role in crime series The Five.
