The Block is back for its 13th season

Meet the five new couples ready to transform five family homes.

The 13th season of The Block is coming soon to the Nine Network. The popular reality renovation series will again be hosted by the TV WEEK Gold Logie winner Scott Cam.

This time around on The Block, five massive family homes will be rescued from demolition and transported to Elsternwick in south-east Melbourne.

“I’m really proud that we were able to save these houses from demolition and deliver the great Australian dream of a big, modern family home,” Scott says.

“The scale of this project is like nothing we’ve attempted before – we’re transforming a street and it sure is going to test our latest crop of Blockheads.”

The five new teams set to compete on the show are:

Josh (28) and Elyse (24), dating for four years, from Melbourne, VIC.

Hannah (31) and Clint (33), married for five years, from Townsville, QLD.

Sticks (31) and Wombat (38), best mates for fifteen years, from South Coast, NSW.

Ronnie (41) and Georgia (33), married for six years, from Perth, WA.

Jason (46) and Sarah (45), married for eighteen years, from Melbourne, VIC.

Contestant Elyse Knowles currently works as a model and has a strong social media presence with 600,000 Instagram followers.

Despite her glamorous looks, Elyse told The Daily Telegraph she is a bogan at heart.

“My sister said to me, ‘Just one thing, Elyse. If you do get on the show, just don’t do your laugh!’ I sound really bogan,” Elyse said.

This year, host Scott Cam will again be joined by co-host Shelly Craft, along with judges Neale Whitaker, Shaynna Blaze and Darren Palmer. Foreman Keith Schleiger and his sidekick Dan Reilly will also be returning.
