They’ve renovated a house and been together for four years. But The Block’s Elyse and Josh are in no rush to head down the aisle.
“I get told to wait by everyone,” Elyse laughs.
“It’s not going to happen anytime soon. We’ve got so much happening in our lives that we couldn’t even think about that.”
Chatting to TV WEEK, Josh hints an engagement is on the cards – but not for awhile yet.
“Maybe after 10 years. That would be a good apprenticeship, wouldn’t it?” he jokes. “We’re happy with what we’re doing together at the moment.”
The larrikin carpenter is also in no rush to have children after spending some time with Sticks’ two children, including newborn Lani.
“Josh spent a week with Sticks and his wife Terri up at their home on the coast.
And he’s like, ‘Whoa! I don’t need a kid anytime soon,’” Elyse smiles.
“I love kids and adore them, but it’s always nice to give them back.”
After spending time with Sticks’ children, Josh is happy to wait a bit longer before having kids.
For now, the lovebirds are happy raising their fur child, a Weimaraner named Isla.
“I’ve already got my baby,” Elyse reveals.
“I don’t need any more babies any time soon.”
