Despite getting the first single date and overnight date, Tahitian beauty Elora Murger’s journey ended last night on The Bachelor Australia, just before hometown dates.

The 27-year-old was shocked that she didn’t get a rose by Matty J, and has revealed to TV WEEK that the ordeal shattered her.

“It broke my heart,” she tells us. “It did. It was really unexpected.”

After pouring her heart out in her final group date, Elora didn’t understand why fellow Bachelorette Elise Stacy was given extra time. She felt that she was putting herself out there by being vulnerable.

“In those last days, it was really hard,” she confesses.

Elora scored the first single date.

Months later, she still has a hard time understanding we Matty didn’t pick her for the final four.

“In his position, if he chose to give me the first date, there is something that stood out and each time we had an amazing time,” says Elora.

“I think he already knew it wasn’t going to be me so no matter what I would have done, kiss or no kiss, it wasn’t me. So yeah, it was really hard to feel guilty for something.”

When Matty cancelled the cocktail party and went straight to the rose ceremony, the fire twirler felt she had been robbed of time to speak to him about what was going on.

“I felt like I wasn’t given a chance to talk to him,” she continued. “I just wanted to make sure he saw that I wasn’t mean at all, that nothing [I did] was trying to hurt the girls. I think he knows that. I just want to sit down with him and talk to him.”

After Elora’s attempted sneaky kiss with Matty backfired, she reveals it was the beginning of the end for her.

“That ruined everything for me because I felt a bit tricked,” she tells us.

“It would be something I would do in real life. If you’re dating someone and you’re attracted to him, you will pull him around the side and kiss him. The one thing that was hard to deal with was the thought that maybe he or the girls would think that I would do it on purpose to hurt anyone which is really not my intention.

“If anything it was acting out of love and desire to be with the man I was supposed to be dating, without considering that he’s dating every other girl.”

“The whole time we had together, everything was really nice and fun. It felt like I knew him really well so I felt like he would have kissed me back. There was no reason for him not to, especially after kissing me in the Secret Garden.”

Despite the time that has passed since Elora filmed the show, she’s still healing.

“It’s been months, eventually you do get over it. [But] as far as seeing him in person, I don’t know if I could, I don’t know how I’d react. It’s been stressful lately.”

If she were to do the whole process again, Elora says would do things a little differently.

“I was pretty much who I wanted to be the whole time,” she says. “I wasn’t trusting enough. Coming in, I was in a difficult position, you know with the first date and not really knowing the girls. I guess instead of closing up because of all the negativity, I should have probably been a little bit stronger. I wish I could have been closer to the girls in the house instead of being too scared of them.

So, who does she think will win of the four remaining girls?

“I’ve always thought Elise and Laura,” she says. “They’re both very much like Matty. Like just a girl version.”
