He’s the smiley suitor who’s been making us laugh from the moment he dressed up as Friar Tuck on the first group date of The Bachelorette Australia. However, love hasn’t always been easy for James.
“I’ve been cheated on before, a few times,” the 31-year-old admits.
“The first time, I was in my early 20s. I found out through friends and confronted her about it and it all came out. It was a real shock.”
Despite trying to revive the year-long relationship, the pair eventually went their separate ways.
“We tried to work through it, but it just didn’t feel right and I couldn’t get past it,” he explains.
To make matters worse, history repeated itself, leaving the financial advisor wary of having his trust broken – not to mention his heart.
“It’s happened two other times,” he says. “It’s made me cautious in making sure everything feels right.”
But James insists he’s ready to move on and find true love.
“I would love to meet that forever person,” he smiles.
So, will it be Sophie Monk? He’s certainly got more competition now with the arrival of new intruders last night.

Among the four new men is multi-millionaire Stu Laundy who has the upper hand on the other guys – he already met Sophie last year! It was a quick encounter, but he revealed he has been crushing on her since then.
