The Bachelor Australia’s resident villain Jen thinks Matty couldn’t handle her

“I need a stronger man.”

What a rollercoaster! From the moment she stepped out of the limo and into The Bachelor Australia, Jen marked her place as one to watch this season – but mainly for her explosive to-camera interviews and dramatic escapades.

Tonight we farewelled the resident villain with a shock exit – plenty of tears, no rose ceremony and no proper goodbye!

Unsurprisingly, the fiery brunette had a lot to say about her Bachelor experience.

From her incompatibility with Matty, to how bored she was living with the other contestants in the mansion, Jen doesn’t hold back when talking to TV WEEK.

“He’s an amazing guy but, at the same time, it’s not like he’s right for everyone,” Jen says.

“It’s not just about Matty picking girls that he likes – it’s about us seeing if we like him too. [And by the end], the jury was still out for me.”

And, like mother, like daughter, Jen’s mum Leanne also had reservations after meeting Matty on the surprise cooking group date.

Jen was annoyed by the fact that she didn’t spent a lot of alone time with Matty.

“Mum thought he was really good-looking and sweet when she first met him, but as she watched the show, she formed the opinion that he’s most definitely not the person for me,” Jen says.

“I think she’s of the opinion that he’s not strong enough to handle how much of a woman I actually am. She had reservations and thought he might be a bit too polite and a little bit too well-mannered, and wouldn’t give me the kick up the bum that I’d need on a daily basis.”

While diehard romantics may rejoice at the departure of another villain, Jen isn’t fazed by missing one aspect of the experience: being holed up in The Bachelor mansion with the other contestants.

“It’s a really long time in the house and some of the girls just sit there trying to be really nice to each other and it’s really boring to watch so I ruffled feathers for my own entertainment,” Jen admits.

“I try to call people and challenge them a little bit to be their truest form of who they actually are. I knew there’d be people who would I polarise with my personality. It wasn’t my intention to fall in line and wait to be seen or spoken to either. It’s not how I roll.”

One thing’s for sure: Jen has no regrets and dismisses any claims she was putting on an act.

“I pride myself on being the real me 100% of the time, whether it’s brutal, but what you see is what you get,” she says. “A lot of the girls in the house weren’t being honest. There’s so much that you guys don’t get to see.”

As for who will receive Matty’s final rose, Jen is convinced she knows the perfect pick for the Bachelor.

“I love Laura!” she says.

“She is probably one of the best chicks there. She’s brutally honest, she’s no bulls***, and she’s just a really, really cool chick. I don’t think there’s anyone else who suits Matty as much as Laura does. The first time I met her, she was the standout! I think she would add a bit of spice to Matty. I think she’d make his life more exciting.”

Jen thinks that Laura (above) will win Matty’s heart.
