From Summer Bay to LA! Stephen Peacocke’s career highlights

He's come a long way.
Stephen Peacocke

We fell in love with Stephen Peacocke as bad boy Brax from Home And Away, but these days, Stephen is on his way to becoming a Hollywood heavyweight.

Stephen and his wife Bridgette are now based in Los Angeles. However, Stephen is happy to come back Down Under to work on projects he’s passionate about, such as Wanted, a series he starred in alongside Rebecca Gibney.

“You always want to be where quality stuff is being made,” Stephen, 35, tells TV WEEK. “And if it’s good quality, you’ll work anywhere.”

His career has certainly kicked off since his days on Summer Bay. Check out a few highlights below.

Brax:

Stephen won the hearts of many Aussies in his role of Brax on Home And Away. His character had some complicated storylines over the years.

In 2016, Brax returned to the show to win the heart of his former flame Ricky (Bonnie Sveen), before they both left the show to live happily ever after with baby Casey.

TV WEEK Logie Awards:

Stephen has won three TV WEEK Logie Awards over the years.

He won the Logie for Most Popular New Male Talent in 2012, Most Popular Actor in 2013 and Best Actor in 2015.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot:

In 2016, Stephen starred alongside Margot Robbie, Martin Freeman and Tina Fey in Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

Margot Robbie gushed about Steve on the film.

“Steve started improvising and I was just in stitches! He and Martin Freeman were going back and forth and I literally fell off the couch,” she told TV WEEK.

Me Before You:

In what is possibly the saddest movie OF ALL TIME, Stephen stars alongside Emilia Clarke (Game Of Thrones), Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games) and Mathew Lewis (Harry Potter).

Stephen plays a nurse called Nathan who helps to care for Will (Sam Claflin) who has been paralysed from a motorcycle accident. Tear-jerker doesn’t even begin to cut it. We promise you won’t get through this one without sobbing uncontrollably…

Wanted:

Stephen plays Detective Josh Levine in the Australian series Wanted. He has reprised his role in the second season and according to Rebecca, he may just stick around for more.

“He’s very open to coming back for season three, if we want to,” Rebecca tells TV WEEK.

We think it’s safe to say we always want more Stephen Peacocke on our screens!
