Network Ten has shared the first trailer for their new Australian drama series, Playing For Keeps.
The addictive new show boasts an all-star cast, with incredible actors including Madeleine West, Cece Peters, Annie Maynard, Olympia Valance, Isabella Giovinazzo, Jackson Gallagher and Jeremy Lindsay Taylor taking on roles in the new show.
Playing For Keeps, which is due to air 'soon,' follows the lives of a group of wives and girlfriends (WAGs) of AFL players.
Ten promises the new series will dive into the salacious world of Aussie Rules football, unearthing secrets, lies and scandals along the way.
The first trailer for the new show was shared overnight, and the series looks to be every bit as dramatic as possible.
The trailer introduces us to Paige (Cece Peters), who has been brought in to the world of WAGs as her boyfriend joins an AFL team in Melbourne. She quickly learns the world of WAGs and AFL is not one she fits in to…
We caught up with Olympia, who stars as Tahlia, to find out more about the exciting new show and her 'outrageous' new character.
"I am this character. She's outrageous like me and I love taking risks," Olympia reveals.
She says that playing the socialite, who is engaged to the football club's captain, was a dream come true.
"When I read the script, I just knew that I had to play Tahlia," Olympia laughs. "I was determined this character would be mine.
"I feel very honoured to be part of a show that I know is going to be something special."
Meanwhile Isabella, who stars as Jess, the wife of a respected player, says she's excited to be back in Australia.
"I'm so excited – and really happy to be here [in Australia]," Isabella enthuses to TV WEEK.
"It's like nothing I've ever felt before. And starting a show from the ground up is really cool."
Playing For Keeps is set to air on Network Ten later this year, keep your eyes peeled for the release date!
