From the moment Izzy Hoyland set foot on Ramsay Street, it was clear she’d be trouble.

Fans will recall the scheming man-eater and notorious homewrecker famously ruined Karl (Alan Fletcher) and Susan’s (Jackie Woodburne) marriage.

Now that the bad girl is back, actress Natalie Bassingthwaighte, 42, remembers some of her character’s most iconic moments.

MAKING AN ENTRANCE, 2003: “I was really nervous. I was coming onto a set people were comfortable with and have been around for such a long time. But they made me feel really welcome. Everyone was lovely and they still are.”

SEDUCING JACK, 2003: “I was definitely looking after myself in the fitness department leading up to it [filming the steamy scenes with Jay Ryan, who played Jack]. Whether it’s a kissing or bedroom scene, I have to stop myself from giggling – that’s how I handle the nervousness. It’s not fun, let me tell you – you just have to get into a zone.”

FAKING A ROBBERY, 2004: “I don’t think there is anything Izzy wouldn’t really do to protect herself. So for her to set up a fake robbery is not that big a deal in her world.”

LOCKING LIPS WITH KARL, 2004: “First of all, it was very tricky [as an actor], because Alan became one of my friends. As far as Izzy is concerned, I think she felt this attraction to him. She hadn’t really felt that with anyone else. It was an authentic kind of love, more so than with anyone else she’d ever been with.”

DISCOVERING SHE’S PREGNANT, 2004: “Being pregnant [with Karl’s baby] is a big shock to Izzy. She didn’t see that one coming.”

SURVIVING THE PLANE CRASH, 2005: “I’ve always had a fear of deep water. I was terrified that day [when they shot the plane-crash scene]. It was difficult for me. Jackie [Woodburne] was very supportive, but it was scary.”

TEAMING UP WITH PAUL, 2005: “They [Izzy and Paul, who Stefan Dennis plays] are a match made in heaven. They also have chemistry. It’s the opposite to what Izzy had with Karl, and definitely not the same kind of relationship. This was very fiery, and they were on the same page with their manipulations and shenanigans.”

GIVING BIRTH TO DAUGHTER HOLLY, 2007: “Birth on the Thames [the river in England] – the only place to do it. And Susan and Karl helped deliver the baby. That’s actually how Izzy left the show, so it was quite big for me and Izzy too. It was great to go to the UK and film with Alan and Jackie. Neighbours is so big over there – it was pretty exciting.”
