All the gorgeous gowns from Neighbours’ weddings

Neighbours is celebrating its big milestone birthday with an even bigger twist – they’re marrying FIVE favourite couples from the past decades.

Returning to the show for the anniversary, beloved characters Sky Mangel, Lana Crawford, Paige Smith, Mark Brennan, Jane Harris, Des Clarke, Lucy Robinson, Mark Gottlieb, Prue Wallace and Gary Canning are all tying the knot!

It seems fate is at play, as each character returns to Erinsborough for different reasons, they all find themselves reunited with their past loves. And, just in time for Lassiter’s huge wedding expo!

Love is in the air and each of the five couples decide to take the leap, marrying in a week of spectacular weddings.

The momentous occasion also means a second Neighbours same-sex ceremony.

The iconic show made history in 2018 with the marriage of Aaron (Mat Wilson) and David (Takaya Honda), the first same-sex wedding on Australian television, officiated by the legendary Magda Szubanski.

With a wedding comes a white dress, or in this case SIX, take a peek at the beautiful looks before they air, below.

Lucy

Lucy Robinson, marrying Mark Gottlieb

Scott (Jason Donovan) and Charlene’s (Kylie Minogue) wedding may have been one of Neighbours most iconic, but when it comes to the white gown Lucy Robinson (Melissa Bell) takes the cake.

“I think it’s one of the biggest dresses in the history of Neighbours – even bigger than Kylie’s [Charlene],” Melissa tells TV WEEK.

“I got to pick any dress I wanted, it’s very fairytale, with a huge train and veil.”

With lace detailing across the bodice, full tulle skirt and veil to match, Melissa is a vision in white.

Jane

Jane Harris, marrying Des Clarke

Plain Jane Superbrain (Annie Jones) is anything but when she finally makes it down the aisle after a tumultuous and troublesome love life!

The picture of elegance and grace, Jane proves you can pull off a wedding dress at any age in a simple column gown with lace detail sleeve.

Paige

Paige Smith, marrying Mark Brennan

Is there ever a time Olympia Valance isn’t breathtakingly glamorous? The answer is no.

Reprising her role as Paige, Olympia chose her beloved character’s dress for the big day herself, opting for a simple, lace, mermaid-cut gown from bridal designer, Grace Loves Lace.

“I had 15 minutes to organise this wedding dress. Grace Loves Lace, sent over options, I put one on and it was amazing,” Olympia says.

The actress also did her own pared-back beauty look complete with classic red lip!

Sky & Lana

Neighbours’ first same-sex couple Sky (Stephanie McIntosh) and Lana (Bridget Neval) are back for the happy ending they always deserved.

Their romance was way ahead of the times when, the then teens’ romance blossomed on our screens back in 2004.

Now, the women put a modern twist on their attire for the big day with Sky in a chic blazer-style dress and Lana in a lace mini complete with frilled sleeve.
