NCIS stars Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo are reuniting to executive produce a cop drama series currently in development at CBS.

Their new series, titled MIA, will follow a newly minted homicide detective who is partnered with a seasoned by-the-book detective to solve cases in Miami. The new detective struggles to keep the personal entanglements of her final undercover assignment from jeopardizing her future.

Michael, 50, and Cote, 38, have signed on as executive producers of the drama series. MIA has been written by a third executive producer, Shepard Boucher, whose previous credits include Riverdale and Angie Tribeca.

Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo have reunited.

Michael previously starred as Anthony DiNozzo from 2001 to 2016 in NCIS, before going on to star as Dr. Jason Bull in Bull in 2016. Meanwhile, Cote played Ziva David in the criminal drama series from 2005 to 2013.

Their characters endured a ‘will-they-won’t-they’ relationship throughout the years on NCIS, with their story ending in 2016 when Tony found out Ziva had died AND given birth to their daughter before passing away. Tony decided to leave the NCIS and raise his two-year-old daughter.

Tony and Ziva had a complicated relationship on NCIS.

Here’s hoping Michael and Cote will find themselves on-screen at some point in an episode of MIA. Long live TIVA!
