After their IVF struggles, the MKR’s ‘sausage kings’ Dan and Steph Mulheron have a little something to celebrate!
Life could not get any better for last year’s My Kitchen Rules winners Dan and Steph Mulheron, who are sharing their exciting news exclusively with Woman’s Day.
“It’s been hard to keep a secret – but yes, we’re having a baby!” beams Steph, 32.
Known as the “sausage king and queen”, the Queensland couple are already cooking up fitting baby names.
“I love Frankie for a girl – you know, like frankfurters!” laughs Dan, 31. “And we’ve had a laugh about Sammy the sausage if it’s a boy. For now, he or she is just our ‘little buddy’.”
It was winning MKR’s $250,000 prize that allowed the couple to pay for several IVF cycles to realise their dream of becoming parents – as well as opening a funky cafe in their hometown of Hervey Bay.
Given so much heartache, Steph – who’s due in April – says it was the test of their lives. “I feel for any couple going through IVF. It’s no walk in the park.”
But with all that behind her now, she says for the first time in her life she is chuffed to have a belly!
