Summer Bay stalwart Alf (Ray Meagher) was horrified when he accidentally ran over Angel (Melissa George). She was temporarily paralysed and confined to a wheelchair. However she later regained the use of her legs to walk down the aisle at her wedding to Shane (Dieter Brummer).
2. Chris Coward Punched, Neighbours
Neighbours has never shied away from addressing topical social issues. In 2014, Chris (James Mason) was involved in a coward punch storyline when hit by Josh (Harley Bonner). Chris was left unconscious and rushed to hospital in the aftermath.
3. Leah In A Car Accident, Home And Away
Leah (Ada Nicodemou) was left in a coma for several months after being involved in a car accident. The brakes on the car failed and Leah and Evie (Philippa Northeast) collided with a tree.
4. Franky’s Hand Fried, Wentworth
The old steam press that first appeared in Prisoner made a comeback in Wentworth. Jac’s (Kris McQuade) made Bea (Danielle Cormack) burn Franky’s (Nicole da Silva) hand using the steam press in the laundry. Franky suffered serious burns to her hand.
5. Peter Morrison Disabled, All Saints
After being shot during a siege, doctor Peter (Andrew McKaige) was left paralysed. He struggled to cope with his life-altering injuries and resigned from the hospital.
6. Bridget’s Daughter Knocked Over By A Car, Winners & Losers
Bridget’s (Sarah Grace) young daughter Aalivyah (Madeleine and Chloe Taylor) was run over in the driveway of her grandparent’s home. The young toddler was rushed to hospital with critical injuries.
7. Roman Blinded, Home And Away
Roman (Conrad Coleby) was in a car accident with Leah (Ada Nicodemou). The injuries he sustained included brain swelling and he was placed in a coma. When Roman woke up he was blind. However it was later revealed his blindness was due to a psychological problem.
8. Paul Loses A Leg, Neighbours
Ramsay Street villain Paul (Stefan Dennis) had his leg amputated after he sustained injuries from a tumble off a cliff.
9. Moira Gets Shot, McLeod’s Daughters
Moira (Doris Younane) was shot in the abdomen and rushed to hospital. She’d had a premonition someone would be shot, but not that it would be herself that would be injured during a gun standoff with a bankrupt farmer.
10. Nate Impaled, Home And Away
Brax (Stephen Peacocke) and Nate (Kyle Pryor) were trying to rescue VJ (Matt Little) after he was kidnapped and left in the bush. As Nate tried to climb down a cliff to the injured teen, he slipped and became impaled by a branch.
