The Daily Telegraph reported that Ben Ungermann had been charged and convicted for low-range drink driving in Brisbane.

The publication claim the 32-year-old was sentenced with a two-month driving ban and $400 fine.

No conviction was recorded.

In a bizarre twist, Ben, a father-of-three, was actually pulled over on May 26, by fellow MasterChef season 9 star, Nicole’s sister – Constable Leah Stevenson

While the Top 4 contestant is yet to comment on the situation, a spokesman from the makers MasterChef released a statement.

“Ben feels deeply remorseful about making this one-off judgment error and respects the actions of the police and the verdict of the court.”
