You may remember him from the hit TV show &Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, and now – Carson Kressley is the latest intruder to enter the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here* jungle!
NW spoke to Carson about what he felt entering the jungle as an intruder, who he’ll make friends with – and try to cuddle up to – and what he’s going to do without his killer wardrobe on standby!
“It comes in waves,” Carson tells us when we asked whether he’s excited or just plain scared to be in South Africa.
“I’m excited and then I’m nervous and then I’m petrified and then I’m really excited again. I think it’s a mixed bag but it should be the experience of a lifetime so I am looking forward to it.”
Carson attends the 2017 Human Rights Campaign Greater New York Gala on February 11.
And while the fashion god won’t have access to his extensive – and super stylish! – wardrobe, he’s not giving it up that easily.
“I have been doing some research on the local flora and fauna because I figure I’m going to have to howl it out a bit and make some outfits out of local materials,” he laughs. “We’ll have to do a little runway show,” he says.
Well that’s one way to keep busy…
So what exactly will the fashionista bring to camp – other than impeccable style and sass?
“Oh, I’m going to bring more camp to the camp I hope,” he jokes. “But honestly I think it’s about bringing a sense of fun and I’ve been thinking, trying to psych myself into going by thinking that it is a chance of a lifetime we’ll get to do things that we’d never imagined doing – fun things and scary things.”
And what does he think about his fellow campmates?
“I know Natalie, you know I’m a big fan of hers,” he admits, also revealing he’s crushing hard on Kris Smith.
“I’m becoming a big fan of his,” he teases. Us too!
He even has plans on what he’s going to with Kris once they leave the jungle!
“Maybe Kris and I will just go to Qualia or something and have strawberry milkshakes together.”
