Could MKR’s nice guy Matt have found his perfect match in Home And Away star Courtney Miller?

TV WEEK can reveal that the two went on a secret date in Matt’s home town of Newcastle in NSW after meeting at the MKR launch in Sydney earlier this year.

“She’s lovely,” Matt, 27, tells TV WEEK. “She’s very nice. I got along with her very, very well. She’s a really lovely girl. We spoke a fair bit that night.”

After the launch, Courtney – who plays Bella Nixon in the long-running drama – and Matt stayed in contact, and they recently attended the races at Sydney’s Royal Randwick together.

The two have another catch-up planned – this time at a charity ball in Bundaberg, Queensland.

“She knows the organiser and sounded out my interest,” Matt explains. “That’s in June.”

Matt, nicknamed “Hollywood” by his *MKR* teammate Luke, has been getting plenty of female attention while the show has been airing. Women from all over the country have been contacting him to ask him out.

“I’ve got a couple of in-boxes here and there, which is all very flattering,” he says.

Having split with a long- term girlfriend more than a year ago, Matt is now ready to settle down. The keen cricketer says he doesn’t have an “ideal woman”, but he’d like someone who’s supportive of him and his hobbies.

“I’d just love someone who’s easygoing, very relaxed,” he says. He’s looking forward to getting married and starting a family, like his friend Luke is.

“I don’t want to be a dad when I’m 40,” he says. “I’d like to be a dad when I’m young and can run around and have a daughter or a son to take to cricket or whatever.

“I always pictured myself being married and having children in my early 30s. But we’ll see what happens.”
