We've seen young stars including Chris Hemsworth, Isla Fisher and Guy Pearce get their big break on Home and Away and move on to bigger projects. Now, Raechelle Banno is the latest star to leave Summer Bay and continue her career elsewhere.
The 25 year-old actress who plays the flirty and feisty Olivia Fraser Richards, told The Daily Telegraph that her departure from the show has left her feeling a mix of emotions.
"I didn't go to drama school so this was my acting school. I have a huge emotional connection to the work itself, to the people and to the routine of it all so it was certainly bittersweet and emotional."
And while she's open to working in Hollywood, the actress wants to keep things local too.
"I just love Australia and the work we produce too much to walk away from it. Australian stories, told by Australians for Australians, is so important and if I can be a part of that, I will."
After playing Olivia for three years on the show, it's clear she will be missed. Her co-star, Lynne McGranger, who plays Irene Roberts, shared a sweet tribute video to Instagram of their characters' best moments.
"Love these memories of working with a beautiful actress and an amazing human being," she captioned her video.
Raechelle, who's final Home and Away episode airs 13th August, shared a cryptic post to her personal Instagram account of her and co-star Sam Frost and her hashtags had fans' tongues wagging about a possible romantic reunion.
"Thinking about what I might get up to tomorrow at 7pm...any ideas? #JasmineAndOliviaForTheWin #HomeAndAway #TeamOlivia #Huntivia."
One fan account commented, "I know I'll be bawling my eyes out for sure. It's been an absolute privilege being able to watch and support you on your journey on the show over the past few years, and I truly hope that you're showered with nothing but happiness and success in your future."
