Former Home and Away star George Mason just reemerged – and the actor looks completely unrecognisable!

Gone are the long locks…

By Erin Doyle
When he played Martin "Ash" Ashford on Home and Away from 2014 to 2018, George Mason had plenty of fans in adoration of his long, sandy blond locks.
But more than a year after stepping away from the Summer Bay spotlight, the actor has mysteriously reemerged – and he looks completely different!
Appearing alongside his former co-star Jake Ryan in a photo on Instagram, George was sporting a much shorter hairstyle, and fans would be forgiven for having to do a double take.
And it's not just George's new look that has whipped fans into a frenzy.
Eagle-eyed followers noticed the boys tagged the location as "Palm Beach, New South Wales", which is where Home And Away is filmed.
Could Ash soon be making a return to Summer Bay? Hmmm… the plot thickens!

As for Jake, he wasn't giving much away in the caption, simply captioning the shot: "Found Ash......gone fishin.."
Meanwhile, fellow Home And Away star Penny McNamee expressed her excitement about George being back in town, writing: " JEALOUS!!! How fun! George - come back once I'm back filming."
George starred as bad boy Ash for more than three years, joining the drama as fellow rebel and wildly popular Stephen Peacocke began finishing up his stint.
His character Ash later shared a romance with Kat Chapman (played by Pia Miller) and George left the show shortly after Kat's dramatic death in 2017's season finale.
