Hamish Blake and Andy Lee announced late last year that 2017 would be their last year on radio.

While we’ll miss getting our daily dose of laughs, we’re excited to see more of them on our TV screen.

The loveable duo will return to Channel 9 with a brand new comedy series titled True Story with Hamish & Andy.

The pair released a very short trailer on their Instagram account giving little to no detail away, aside from the show’s name – but we’re already desperate to know more!

The clip did feature the tagline “Truth is funnier than fiction”, which, we won’t argue with.

The teaser was also framed to show the backs of Hamish and Andy facing an empty chair, which hints at a chat show or interview style.

While we can only speculate at this stage, perhaps the show may be similar to the popular BBC One series Would I Lie To You?, hosted by Rob Brydon, where a panel of comedians and celebrities have to convincingly lie to each other about an event from their past.

One things for sure, when Hamish and Andy are involved, we’re guaranteed plenty of lols.

This will be the boy’s third series for the network following the success of their Gap Year franchise.

They might be off the airwaves but we can’t wait to have Hamish and Andy back on the telly.

Hamish isn’t the only one in the family currently enjoying success on the small screen.

His wife, Zoe Foster Blake, was the writer of the novel, The Wrong Girl which debuted as a TV series on Channel Ten last year and is set to return for a second season.

If you need us, we’re busy stalking their socials for any further hint of what true stories the boys will be telling in the near future…
