There’s a surprise visitor in Home And Away this week and he comes with some very unwelcome news for Dean.

After arriving home, Dean (Patrick O’Connor) finds Brett (Graeme McRae) waiting for him and immediately knows it means trouble. The loan shark tells him he’s here to settle Dean’s debt with one final job – they’re going to rob Salt.

The river boy tries to refuse, insisting it’s too close to home. But Brett won’t take no for an answer, telling Dean the job is happening with or without him. And if it’s without him, he’ll be paying Willow (Sarah Roberts) a visit.

Caught in a moral dilemma, Dean is torn between protecting Willow and betraying his friends. And the situation is weighing on him.

Colby assures Dean that their plan will work.

“Dean is really starting to panic,” Patrick, 25, tells TV WEEK. “He knows there will be serious consequences for himself and Willow if he doesn’t deliver on Brett’s demands. But he really doesn’t want to do the wrong thing by Ziggy and Brody either.”

Dean is forced to turn to Colby (Tim Franklin) for help. And when the Summer Bay cop devises a plan to turn the robbery into a police sting, it goes against everything Dean stands for as a River Boy.

“Dean is so incredibly loyal to his River Boys, but he knows he has to do this to get himself and Willow out of the horrible debt and keep them safe,” Patrick explains.

Dean doesn’t want Brody and Ziggy to get hurt.

With no other choice, Dean agrees to Colby’s plan. But as he helps Brett break into Salt things quickly go awry. He discovers Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) and Brody (Jackson Heywood) have stayed late and are still in the building.

With his friend’s lives now in danger and the police yet to arrive will Dean be able to protect them?

Home And Away airs Monday to Thursday, 7pm, on Channel Seven
