Can you believe how fast this year has whizzed by?

We definitely can’t and as the challenging year that is 2021 winds down, we’re already excited for what 2022 has to offer – especially when it comes to TV.

At Tuesday’s Channel Seven upfronts event, the network announced the shows including news, sport, dramas (yes, that includes Home and Away) and more that will be hitting our screens in the new year. But as for the reality shows, get ready for a dose of nostalgia.

The Voice

For all you music lovers, don’t fret because The Voice Australia will be back once more as will judges Jessica Mauboy, Guy Sebastian, Rita Ora and Keith Urban.

To make matters even more exciting, we’ll also be treated to a world first in The Voice Generations where parents and kids will sing and compete together for a shot at victory.

Dancing With The Stars All Stars

Earlier this year the full cast list for Dancing With The Stars All Stars was released. You bet we’re excited to see Grant Denyer, Angie Kent, Ricki-Lee Coulter and more strut their stuff under the mirror ball.

But according to Seven, this is going to be the best dancing we’ve ever seen. Bring it on!

SAS Australia

It’s arguably the toughest and most gruelling reality show on Australian screens, but we can’t get enough.

Olympic athletes and ex Bachelor stars are just some of the stars joining the third season of SAS but we’re also seeing some new directing staff (DS) members.

Ex US navy SEAL Clint Emerson who was part of the taskforce that helped to assassinate Osama Bin Laden and Dean Stott who served in the army alongside Prince Harry will join chief Ant Middleton.

Big Brother

While we still have Big Brother VIP to come, there’s going to be a brand new season in 2022 too.

But in an exciting twist, ex original housemates from previous seasons will be re-entering the house. Could we see the return of Sara Marie and Merlin?

Farmer Wants A Wife

We love a country romance so Natalie Gruzlewski is back with a new batch of farmers in the new year.

This year, however, former Sunrise host Sam Armytage, who married her own Mr Right Richard Lavender at the end of 2020 will be helping the women on their journey to love.

Australia’s Got Talent

The only show where you can see dance troupes, fire eaters and performing dogs all in one sitting!

Before COVID struck again, Neil Patrick Harris, Alesha Dixon, Kate Ritchie and Shane Jacobson were confirmed as the judging panel but we’ll have to stay tuned for more details.

Australian Idol

The singing talent show saw stars such as Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy and Ricki-Lee Coulter rise to fame and now it’s back!

Yes, you heard right. My Kitchen Rules returns to Seven after a year’s hiatus.

Whilst Manu Feildel, Pete Evans and Colin Fassnidge have made names for themselves in past seasons, we need to wait and see who will be the 2022 judges.
