If a show is already getting people up in arms when it hasn't even started airing yet, you know it's going to be a hot topic in pop culture conversation.
Enter Netflix's new Aussie reality show Byron Baes, which is set to follow the lives of the famous coastal town's influencers and other socialites.
The streaming giant teased the series as being "a docu-soap series following a 'feed' of hot Instagrammers living their best lives, being their best selves, creating the best drama content, #nofilter guaranteed."
The reality show, described by Netflix as a "love letter to Byron Bay" is reportedly set to begin filming this month but not everyone is happy.
Some locals have protested against the show and even some of the stars themselves weren't happy with how Netflix promoted the show.
Netflix's director of originals, Que Minh Luu Tweeted that cast members "hated" the press surrounding the announcement of the show.
"They are artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, business owners, models, on a spiritual journey and more," she wrote.
"Most of them hated the press release too! Did a lot of apologising that week. Fired the PR team (lol joking about the firing, we're all learning together).
"They understand the power of influence. They are part of Byron. They understand the creative vision of the show that has been developed with them over several months."So, who exactly is included the most hotly anticipated cast? Scroll on to find out!
