10 moments from Blue Heelers that will pull at your heartstrings

Mount Thomas packed plenty of drama.

From 1994-2006, it seemed all Australians were watching Blue Heelers.
If there was trouble in town, Sgt Tom Croydon (John Wood) and the officers at Mount Thomas Police were on the case – and they always got their man.
From love affairs and heartache to gut-wrenching tragedies, the much-loved Aussie drama had it all.
Perhaps one of the show's most memorable moments was when Lisa McCune's character, costable Maggie Doyle, died.
Devoted fans of the drama were understandably devastated when the much-loved Maggie was shot and killed.
"I felt I didn't want her [Maggie] to die," Lisa explained to TV WEEK of her emotional final episode. "Many years later, I can understand why they did it [killed off her character]. But at the time, I was sad to see her go, because she was a gorgeous young girl.
"She represented a hope, I guess. And she ticked all the boxes in the right way, in that she was feisty, came from an Irish-Catholic background, with a strong father. I loved those qualities about her – we all love those qualities in characters on television," the actress explained.
As for whether the cast will ever reunite for a TV comeback, Ditch Davey, who played Evan Jones for six seasons, has previously said he's keen.
"I wouldn't say no to anything. I absolutely loved doing that show," previously told New Idea.
"I get messages most weeks from fans of the show who still want to ask questions about it."
"People have such fondness for Blue Heelers that I wouldn't put it off the table. If all the cards fell in the right way – I think it would certainly need a big reboot – but I wouldn't put it off the table," he explained.
