Australia has quite a few lovable TV legends that have been on our screens for decades and it seems that now they’re all being commemorated.

Patti Newton, one-half of Australia’s golden couple, posted a few snaps this afternoon of an exciting moment. Yep, her husband Bert, Ray Martin, Kerri-Anne Kennerly, Daryl Somers and Denise Drysdale have all been given a stamp of approval in the form of… well, a stamp.

The five Aussie TV stars have their own special postage stamp (with personal portraits of then and now) with the tag ‘Australian Legends’ alongside their faces.

Patti wrote on Instagram: “Very thrilled for these legends to have their own stamp. Congratulations.”

She also shared a candid snap with some of the legends themselves – Bert, Daryl and Kerri-Anne.

“Great day at the Australia Day lunch and to launch the Legends stamp. We are thrilled,” she captioned.

The Official Australia Day Luncheon launched the special stamps today and you’ll definitely want to buy the whole collection!

Ray, Bert, Denise, Ray and Kerri-Anne are all in good company. In the past, the Australia Post stamps have been fronted by Indigenous leaders (2017) like Tom Calma, singles tennis champions (2016) like Pat Rafter, and Lleyton Hewitt, and music legends (2013) like John Farnham, Kylie Minogue and Olivia Newton-John.
