AthenaX won’t apologise to fellow Housewives

The outspoken star says she doesn’t regret a thing.

When it comes to creating drama, no-one does it quite like The Real Housewives Of Sydney star Athena X Levendi.
In fact, the 40-year-old jewellery designer, who has been criticised for calling her fellow co-star Victoria Rees “fat” and Melissa Tkautz “anorexic”, admits she isn’t a single bit sorry for doing so.
“I don’t regret anything I’ve done,” Athena tells TV WEEK. “Even my biggest mistake and some horrible things that have come out of my mouth, I have to own them.”
AthenaX called her co-star Victoria Rees (above) "fat".
With her temper tantrums and offensive comments, Athena is no doubt this season’s biggest pot-stirrer.
“All I can do is learn and understand that this is part of my growth and this is part of me perhaps helping other people to see something about themselves,” she says of her on-screen antics.
“I firmly believe I’m not a shallot, I’m an onion. And it takes time to peel back all those layers and understand me. I take the good and the bad because that’s part of my lessons.”
But despite her care-free attitude, Athena admits she has struggled with social media trolls since the show started.
“I find that a lot of people who use social media just want to poo-poo on other people and they just use it as a real emotional wasteland,” the mother-of-three says.
“Early on I tried to sit down and write comments and tried to engage with people, but then I realised I was wasting a lot of time trying to convert someone that’s coming from a mean spirited place anyway.”
