Love was in the air at the 2018 TV WEEK Logie Awards this year, with television’s hottest couples taking to the red carpet for television’s golden night at The Star Gold Coast.

From Home and Away’s James Stewart and Sarah Roberts, to Gold Logie nominee Rodger Corser and his wife Renae Berry, here’s what some of the happy couples had to say at the 2018 Logies.

H&A’s James Stewart and Sarah Roberts were loved-up on the red carpet

As far as date nights go, James and Sarah rated the Logies as one of their best outings yet.

“It’s a pretty cool date night,” Sarah laughed. “I was thinking about that on my way here.”

Sarah makes her Logies debut with James.

“It’s definitely not your typical date night,” James, 42, added. “And I’m so lucky – just look at her!”

The Home And Away co-stars walked hand-in-hand down the red carpet, sharing adoring glances.

“I love her one-shoulder dress and the red lips,” James grinned.

Meanwhile, a smitten Sarah thought her handsome beau looked “like a rock star”.

Romance blossomed between the pair on set while playing Summer Bay couple Justin and Willow.

At first, they kept their relationship under wraps, finally sharing the happy news with fans late last year.

“I think she questioned a lot more whether she should come out with it,” James said.

“Whatever,” Sarah laughed. “He’s throwing me under the bus!”

“And I’m so lucky – just look at her!”

However, they agreed the challenge of playing on-screen lovers is ensuring their characters’ clashes don’t affect their real-life relationship.

“You have to remember what’s real,” Sarah said.

“And you have to know that when they call ‘cut’, it’s cut,” James added.

Their first Logies as a couple was also Sarah’s first time attending. James had some sage advice.

“Don’t forget to have some water,” he told her.

Rodger Corser didn’t need a Logie to feel like a winner

While he didn’t take home a Logie, Doctor Doctor star Rodger Corser maintains he had already won the best prize of the night – his wife Renae.

The happy couple, who married in 2007, took advantage of the Logies’ move to Queensland’s Gold Coast to enjoy a romantic weekend away.

“We have a family, so can’t travel often,” Rodger, 45, said. “This has been really nice – it’s warmer and we can enjoy the beach.

“Renae looks beautiful and I get to stand beside her!”

Rodger and Renae enjoyed their date night at the Logies.

Meanwhile, Renae praised her hubby, who was nominated for three Logies.

“The recognition is so deserving and long overdue,” she enthused. “It’s a great way to celebrate.”

Asher Keddie talks about a possible return for Offspring

Since Offspring wrapped its seventh season, fans have been left to wonder about the future of the show.

But leading lady Asher Keddie has hinted there’s still a glimmer of hope it could return.

Speaking to TV WEEK on the Logies red carpet, alongside her husband Vincent Fantauzzo, the Most Popular Actress nominee revealed she would “never say never” to a conversation about the dramedy.

“I love Offspring,” Asher, 43, smiled. “Being nominated just reminded me how invested everyone is in that show.”

Asher has been busy working on new miniseries The Cry, which was filmed in Australia and Scotland.

Vincent and Asher were loved-up at the Logies.

60 Minuntes’ Tom Steinfort shares his engagement joy

He’s normally sent to far-flung corners of the world on assignment for 60 Minutes, but Tom Steinfort’s most recent trip was extra-special.

The experienced reporter popped the question while holidaying in Croatia with his girlfriend, Claudia Jukic.

“I had the ring for a little while, and I just thought, ‘We have a holiday coming,'” Tom, 33, revealed at the Logies.

60 Minutes stars Allison Langdon and Tara Brown with Tom.

“We were on a boat with one of her friends and I said, ‘If I give you a wink, bugger off.’ So she swam to shore and then I said [to Claudia], ‘What about this?'”

Tom said the couple are still adjusting to long-distance love, with 60 Minutes keeping him on the road.

“We keep FaceTime in business,” he joked.
