If you were a fan of Netflix’s controversial teen drama 13 Reasons Why, you’re gonna get excited about this – season two has officially finished filming. And that means we’re so much closer to bingeing it all in one sitting.

Selena Gomez, who is executive producer of the show, posted pics of the cast to Instagram as they all celebrated the end-of-season wrap-up.

Selena wrote: “And this year wraps up with another committed journey with @13reasonswhy – Season 2 is coming. To every person on this project, thank you for coming back. Good or bad we are committed to having the tough conversations, to telling the story that can start change.”

Katherine Langford (Hannah Baker), Dylan Minnette (Clay Jensen), and Christian Navarro (Tony Padilla) were just a few of the show’s stars who appeared in the sweet snaps.

Selena also shared a pic of Aussie actress Katherine, congratulating her on her just-announced Golden Globe nomination for Best Television Performance by An Actress.

“ND [sic] to this gorgeous, kind hearted lady. You endured this character with such strength and softness. @katherinelangford I am so proud you are being acknowledged for doing just that! GOLDEN GLOBE NOMINEE!!! Ladies are shining!,” Selena captioned.

Season one of 13 Reasons Why focused on the suicide of teen Hannah Baker and the 13 tapes she made that explained why she did it. The show was met with much controversy over the way that some say it ‘glamourised suicide’, and it fast became one of the most talked-about shows of 2017.

Season two will be taking a different turn and focus on ‘recovery’.

“This season particularly is a lot about recovery. It’s naturally going to progressively get to a more emotional place, due to the nature of the story we’re telling,” Dylan told Entertainment Tonight about what fans can expect.

“I’m sure we’re all heading in some dark directions again. I think anybody would be surprised if we weren’t.”

Season 2 will air on Netflix in 2018.
