Duchess Meghan ‘persuades’ Harry to quit alcohol and caffeine in 2019

The ‘Prince of Partying’ will become the ‘Duke of Clean Living’ in 2019 with Meghan reportedly putting her husband Prince Harry on a strict diet and exercise regime.

UK media reports claim that Meghan has encouraged Harry to replace alcohol and even tea with still mineral water as the father-to-be kick plans to start a reinvigorated health kick as 2019 rings in.

While some reports claim that Meghan has forced Prince Harry to ditch his party ways, sources quoted in The Express claim that Meghan’s healthy ways have rubbed off on Harry.

“All she [Meghan] did was show him there’s another way to live and he’s become a huge fan. He eats well, doesn’t poison his body, does a bit of yoga and is a lot happier,” the source said.

As part of this she has finally got Harry to swear off alcohol and caffeine as part of his 2019 resolution.

Meghan and Harry are now a picture of glowing health.

Meghan has long practiced healthy living. And now that she’s pregnant she has understandably ramped this up. And seeing how much his wife is glowing has convinced the prince to share in the cleaner lifestyle.

Meghan’s mum, Doria Ragland, was once a yoga teacher so it’s no surprise that she adopted a love of the ancient Indian exercise a long time ago. She gets her yogi on “a couple of times a week”, and hot yoga is preference.

“That practice is in my blood,” Meghan has said. “I love an intense vinyasa class – and even better if it’s blasting hip hop and done in a dark room with candelight.”

But while she soothes her soul with low-intensity yoga, Meghan also likes to work up a sweat with running, which she has called “my form of moving meditation”.

Meghan gets her yogi on a couple times a week.

Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland was once a yoga instructor.

“For me, running, I need it as much for my head as for keeping in shape,” she says.

Pilates is another big body winner for Meghan, whose long-time trainer Heather Dorak runs a 55-minute class called Pilates Platinum, a cardio and strength training session, which can burn up to 700 calories.

In Meghan’s words, it’s “the best thing you could do for your body”.

The prince, on the other hand, has been better known for his partying antics than healthy living.

When she was filming Suits in Toronto, Canada, Meghan would often be seen walking to and from her go-to yoga classes.

From alcohol-fuelled naked nights in Las Vegas to a Palace confirmation of him “experimenting” with marijuana, Harry’s less-than-healthy exploits have been quite well publicised.

The Palace confirmed back in 2002 that after it was discovered Harry had experimented with cannabis, his father, Prince Charles, sent him to a UK rehab centre Featherstone Lodge “to learn about the possible consequences of starting to take cannabis”.

In 2005, Prince Harry figured it would be a good idea to turn up to a friend’s costume party dressed as a Nazi. The Royal family issued a statement of apology from the Prince, ..

In 2012, Harry was caught on film in Las Vegas hosting a game of strip billiards during which someone took some photos of the prince naked and leaked them to the media. The Palace ordered a media blackout out the pics, but not before the globe got a good look at Harry’s royal behind.

But in 2019, as Harry prepares to become a dad for the first time, those wild days will be far behind him…
