Which scene didn’t make the Fifty Shades of Grey Movie?

With all film adaptations of books, there are always going to be some scenes and details that get missed. And it is no different for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie.

While the film is staying as true to the book as much as possible, some scenes just didn’t make the cut.

Director Sam Taylor says there will be a “50/50 split” when it comes to sex in the film.

The sex scenes are integral to the story. They are not gratuitous. It tracks the story,” she told Variety.

But the book’s famous tampon scene between Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele has been deemed too risqué for the movie and will be left out.

“It didn’t make it into the movie. It was never even discussed,” she said.

Melanie Griffith will NOT be seeing ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’

The choice to forgo filming some intimate scenes between Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson’s characters was defended by the film’s producer, Michael De Luca.

“The book needed to put you in Ana’s shoes to be a successful experience. A lot of it was very literal. The movie didn’t need to do that.”

But fans needn’t worry, the film will still be very raunchy!

Author E.L James has been heavily involved with the film process and hopes fans will still enjoy the film, even if some scenes don’t make it to the silver screen.

“It’s pretty much impossible to capture every single aspect of a book in a movie,

“But we’ve done our best to emulate the spirit of the book and I hope the fans feel we’ve succeeded.”
