In the first look on set of Bridget Jones’s Baby – the third instalment in the Bridget Jones trilogy – Renee Zellweger was spotted on set this week with a very large prosthetic baby belly.
In 2001, the 46-year-old first brought the famous singleton to life in the first film and now almost 15 years later we’re about to get a third movie.
Snapped reprising her hugely popular role on the streets of south London, Renee was totally in her element.
We are so excited to see the loveable Texan-born beauty, who is dating Doyle Bramhall, tackle motherhood – but so far we know very little about the upcoming flick.
Former Grey’s Anatomy star aka McDreamy Patrick Dempsey told his Instagram followers that he’s landed got a role in the film, but it’s not yet known in what capacity.
In the first two movies love rat Daniel Cleaver, played by Hugh Grant, was one of Bridget’s love interest but the 49-year-old actor revealed that he won’t be taking part in the sequel – while the man who won Bridget’s heat, Colin Firth will be back (thank God).
“I decided not to do it,’ said Hugh, in an interview with Free Radio in the Midlands.
“But I think they’re going to go ahead and do it without Daniel. The book’s excellent, by the way, but the script is completely different – well, the script as I last saw it a few years ago,” he said.

“Nice to be working in England. Renee and Colin are an absolute joy to work with! A good couple of days rehearsing at Pinewood Studios. I really like it here,” Patrick Dempsey told his Instagram followers.
Bridget’s Jones’s Baby is set to be released next year and we cannot wait.
