Steel Magnolias is one of the original feel-good, girl power movies and we reckon it’s one of those classics that everyone needs to watch.
And in an exciting Instagram post, one of the film’s stars Dolly Parton has shared some news that will delight fans of the film worldwide.
Taking to Instagram, the 73 year-old blonde bombshell shared a photo of the film’s cast including herself, Sally Field, Shirley MacLaine, Daryl Hannah, Olympia Dukakis and a young Julia Roberts.
“Hey y’all! Still can’t believe it’s already been 30 years!” Dolly captioned her snap. “Grab your girls and celebrate the 30th anniversary of Steel Magnolias on Blu-ray today!”
No Dolly, we can’t believe it’s been 30 years either.

We’re not the only ones who are a tad excited about this news.
Comedian and former 2Day FM radio host Em Rusciano shared the same movie image and confessed that the eighties hit is one of her “all time faves.”
“That funeral scene when M’Lynn loses her mind still ruins me,” she captioned her Instagram post. “I believe seeing the strong female characters at 10 years old, set me on the right path. I still quote it once a week, look at that cast! Please place your favourite moment or quote below so that I may relive it today. I will watch it tonight as well, it’s been a few months.”

“I’m not crazy, I’ve just been in a very bad mood for fourty years!” one follower posted.
“The only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorise,” said another.
“Shelby was right….my hair does look like a big brown football helmet !”
And of course who could forget, “Ma colours are Blush and Bashful” “Your colours are pink and pink ” “MA COLOURS, are BLUSH and BASHFUL!”
