Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky regularly give us family envy with their gorgeous snaps of their kids India, six, and four-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan.

And in a new interview, the Aussie hunk revealed he got a taste of how people treat pregnant women, thanks to his latest role.

Speaking to Variety, Chris touched on his body transformation in the MARVEL Endgame where he plays a tubbier version of Thor.

The former Home and Away star dished on just how differently people treated him when he sported the fake figure that was vastly different from his traditionally chiselled physique.

“People just kept coming up and cuddling me like a big bear or rubbing my belly like I was pregnant,” Chris said.

“Or trying to sit on my lap like I was Santa Claus. You get a lot of affection. I felt like an old man, an old grandpa, with a bunch of kids around. And then you get sick of it when people come up and grab your belly. ‘Don’t grab me like that!’ I know how my wife felt when strangers would come up and rub her belly.”

Chris also spoke about his scene-stealing role in 2016 reboot of Ghostbusters, where he hilariously portrayed a not-so-bright receptionist.

In the interview, the actor admitted he was close to calling it quits on the whole gig after being concerned about the way his character was written.

However, he was assured by the film’s director Paul Feig that the script would be changed by the time filming kicked off.

When it wasn’t, Chris almost walked. He explained: “The night before I was shooting, I almost pulled out.”

In a panicked eleventh hour meeting with the director Chris was told to improvise for a lot of the movie, which terrified him.

“I was really scared walking onto that set. I had no real plan, so I was just feeding off of them, and I just felt ridiculous. So I used that,” he spilled.

Luckily, he stuck around – which is just as well because we can’t imagine that movie without him!
