Their first attempt to wed ended in a fiery car crash.

But as the scars heal and the pain ebbs, Felicity and Tane have decided they are ready to make it official.

After Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) made an impromptu proposal on the beach to Tane (Ethan Browne), the couple call upon their friends to help plan the special day.

But Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) and Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) are a bit distracted by being in their own love bubble and forget their promised bridal party duties!

Tane and Flick finally tie the knot.

Just as they come begging for forgiveness, Felicity and Tane announce they don’t want wedding planners after all – the wedding is happening tomorrow!

”After all they’ve been through, Flick and Tane want a simple wedding and just to be married,” Jacqui tells TV WEEK.

After a hurried shop to find a wedding dress and pick a location, the day arrives.

Tane is relieved Cash is there when it counts.

For Flick, the moment has been a long time coming as she worked through her past trauma and reliance on alcohol to move on from the car crash that left Eden in a coma and her relationship in trouble.

”Flick knew that she needed to work on herself, before stepping into a life with Tane; so, the fact that she had the courage to do that, and the success that came out of that is admirable,” Jacqui says.

”She became comfortable with her weaknesses and how to deal with them.”

Sealed with a long awaited kiss.

Eden helps Felicity prepare her vows and get dressed, while Tane prepares a surprise for his bride: a traditional Maori wedding with a kaikaranga (a caller who welcomes guests) and traditional poi dancers.

He wears a ceremonial Korowai cloak, which he wraps around Felicity symbolising his love and protection.

”I was so lucky to see it firsthand,” Jacqui says of the Maori customs.

”I was truly touched. To learn from Ethan what the traditions are has been really moving. I also had to say my vows in te reo Maori, so I felt the pressure! I hope I did the beautiful language justice.”

And the pair lived happily ever after for now.
