There have been many great love stories in Summer Bay but few give us the warm and fuzzies like Tori Morgan and Christian Green’s.
It has felt like a loooong time coming for our resident doctor after a pretty tumultuous few years with an IVF battle, broken heart and the loss of her daughter’s father, Robbo (played by Jake Ryan).
We’re not the only ones who felt for Tori.
Penny McNamee who plays the doctor, revealed to TV WEEK she approached the show’s producers about her dire love life.
“It’s time Tori had a solid love interest, so I said to the writers, ‘He needs to be a man, a grown-up who has his life together – and they did a great job of writing the character,” Penny, 37, said.
“They certainly delivered!
“Ditch [Davey, who plays Christian] and I have a lot of trust in each other, which helps come across in storylines.”
Like us, fans have been absolutely loving the romance.
“I get people stopping me in the street and sing out, ‘Oooh, Tori and the hot doc!’ [Laughs]. I’ve never had that reaction before, so it’s good to know people like it.”
Despite getting off to a somewhat awkward start, the chemistry between the couple was evident from day one.
While on screen the couple are absolutely sizzling, off screen that heat is far from reality.
“It’s two minutes on screen but you film it for over an hour or so… there’s a lot of work that goes into a scene like that,” Penny revealed in an appearance on Sunrise.
“There’s a lot of talk between us first before we go on. And Ditch was excellent at speaking to me to discuss what I was comfortable with, what both our boundaries were,” she added.
It’s all culminated in the moment fans have been waiting for – a proposal!
Having moved the the Bay on a permanent basis Christian is ready to start his life with the gorgeous doc.
And, in a new teaser for upcoming episodes we see he decides to make it official.
“You, me, Grace as a family,” he says before Tori asks: “What are you saying?”
“I know this is a big step… Tori Morgan, will you marry me?” Christian asks.
