Farewell to the Bay! Newlyweds Tori and Christian start the next chapter of their lives

All good things must come to an end. After their beautiful backyard wedding, Tori and Christian farewell their loved ones on Home And Away this week.

The emotion-packed scenes will surely have fans reaching for the tissues as newlyweds Tori (Penny McNamee) and Christian (Ditch Davey) and baby Grace prepare to start their new life together in London, where Tori has accepted a job as a doctor.

“Tori knows this is the right thing for her, Grace and Christian,” Penny, 38, says of Tori’s decision to leave Summer Bay.

“She’s excited to be starting this new chapter of her life with her little family in the UK. But of course, she’ll miss her family and friends in the Bay terribly!”

After they tie the knot, Jasmine (Sam Frost) finds Tori in a quiet moment and the friends share the excitement with each other.

Jasmine is thrilled for Tori’s new adventure in the UK with Christian and Grace, while Tori is delighted to see Jas’ romance blossoming with hot cop Cash (Nicholas Cartwright).

Grace is packed into the car as Tori and Christian say their last goodbyes to their wedding guests and to Summer Bay. Christian thanks Justin (James Stewart) for walking Tori down the aisle, and Justin asks Christian to take care of his sister and niece.

“When it finally dawned on Justin that his sister and best friend were going, Justin was rocked,” James, 45, tells TV WEEK.

“One of his great foundations for the past 20 or 30 years is leaving. He knew this day would come, but he still wasn’t prepared for it. I think that says a lot about the bond between Justin and Tori. They’ve never been apart.”

After Tori throws her bouquet – which Cash manages to catch and offers to Jasmine – the happy newlyweds drive off into the sunset as a family.

“The Bay has been Tori’s home, her safe harbour for the past five-and-a-half years,” Penny says.

“A part of her heart will always be there.
