Anna Samson is the Home And Away newcomer set to cause waves on the 2021 series of the show.
The 30-year-old star plays Mia Anderson, Ari’s ex-girlfriend who arrives in Summer Bay with her daughter, Chloe, played by Sam Barrett, who was previously snapped on set kissing Lukas Radovich aka Ryder.

Dating before Ari was sent to prison, there’s sure to be a lot of unfinished business between the pair and we can sense the drama already, particularly since the handsome Summer Bay resident is already dating Mackenzie.
TV WEEK sat down with Anna to talk about her upcoming plot lines on the show involving Ari Parata, if she was ever a Home And Away fan growing up and how she spends her free time away from acting!
This week, Ari Parata (Rob-Kipa Williams) asks his ex whether they’d still be together if he hadn’t gone to prison. What does she say?
I think she believes they would have stayed together. He was the great love of her life.
What does Mia think of Ari being with Mac (Emily Weir)?
It’s always a little strange isn’t it, seeing your first great love with another woman?
Growing up, did you watch the show?
I didn’t, but my best friend did and has every piece of H&A information one could ever need, from storylines to cast trivia. She’s my go-to for soap knowledge.

You played quite a scary character in Wake In Fright. Are you ready for fans to see you in a different light?
I am! Wake In Fright [the 2017 miniseries bases on the famed 1961 Australian novel] was an opportunity to work with a character far from myself both psychologically and physically.
It’s exciting to show something a little closer to my own nature.
What do you do away from acting?
I read – I’m a complete bookworm! My boyfriend bought me a Kindle recently. It’s wonderful – like having a library in my pocket, though I do still like to buy books. I find it romantic.
